Funeral Procession, Osborne House, East Cowes, Isle of Wight

A copy of a photograph from the 'Ryde Album' at Osborne House. It shows Queen Victoria's funeral procession leaving Osborne House. She died on the 22nd of January 1901 at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, aged 81. Her funeral was held at St George's Chapel, in the precincts of Windsor Castle, on 2 February 1901. The coffin is seen here leaving Osborne on the 1st of February when it was then transported by boat, train and horse carriage to the funeral in London. She had reigned for nearly 64 years.
