Harvey's Hospital, Chard, Somerset

This hospital was originally almshouses. They were founded and endowed by the will of Richard Harvey of Exeter in 1663. They opened in 1698. The date 1841 is given for the subsequent rebuilding of the hospital. It is also known, however, that the Trustees rebuilt them in 1870 using the original stone.
