Hawkshead Grammar School, Hawkshead, Cumbria

Exterior view of Hawkshead Grammar School, showing the schoolmaster in gown and mortar board standing outside the front door. Hawkshead Grammer School was constructed in 1675, with later alterations. Its most famous pupil was William Wordsworth, who was a pupil there between 1778-1787.
