Hospital of the Holy Cross, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

According to the 1895 Kelly's Directory of Hereford & Shropshire 'The Holy Cross Hospital, in Abbey Foregate, is an elegant building in the Tudor style, erected in 1853 by the late Daniel Rowland esq. from the designs of the late Mr.S. P. Smith, of Shrewsbury; it consists of five dwellings for the reception of respectable females and is endowed with lands and money to provide £10 yearly for each occupant.'
