Lodge to Royal Albert Hospital, Ashton Road, Lancaster, Lancashire
This building was built as the gateway to the Royal Albert Idiot Asylum. It was a psychiatric hospital designed by Paley and Austin in 1868-1873. It was "for idiots and imbeciles of the seven northern counties." It is built in a Gothic Revival style of architecture.
