Maltings and Oasthouse, High Street, Market Deeping, Lincolnshire

This maltings and oasthouse complex dates from c1828. They were built by John Perkins, a merchant and maltster. The maltings has five main buildings. The grain to be malted was probably transported to the maltings building from the river. Germination was probably done on the middle floors and then transferred to the oast house kiln.
