Millman Swing Bridge, Leeds and Liverpool Canal, West Yorkshire

The Millman Swing Bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal was built in about 1810. The bridge is of timber or cast iron with modern rails. The ballbearing pivot turntable swings the bridge into a concave stone filled recess seen here on the west bank.
