St Breock Downs Monolith,nr Rosenannon, Cornwall

St Breock Downs Monolith is Cornwall's largest and heaviest prehistoric monolith (standing stone). The Bronze Age standing stone is made of granite and is 2.4 metres high, 1.4 metres wide and 0.6 metres thick. Originally it stood 5 metres high and it weighs nearly 17 tonnes. It stands on a mound on the summit of St Breock Downs. The site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010). Find out more
