Underground Hospital, Dover Castle, Dover, Kent

There is a network of secret tunnels built below the castle beneath the white cliffs. Construction began during the Middle Ages. These have been used in various wars. During World War Two there was a command post and an underground military hospital where soldiers were treated. This was the kitchen. This property is in the care of English Heritage (2013).
