Windmill Inn, Windmill Road, Chiswick, Greater London

The Windmill Inn with staff, customers and chickens outside. The pub's name is not visible in the photograph but there is evidence that this is the original Windmill Inn in an anonymous painting held by Chiswick Local Studies Library. There is a stall selling fruit and vegetables. An unusual clock which appears to use the sun is above the door of the inn. This pub was rebuilt in 1900. In 1964 that building was demolished and replaced with an office block incorporating the pub at ground level.
