Auckland Castle is one of the best-preserved bishops' palaces in Europe, surrounded by extensive gardens and a 150-acre deer park. The West Mural Tower is part of the castle curtilage, which is currently undergoing a significant restoration project. The gardens adjacent to the West Mural Tower are being redesigned to allow public access for the first time.

Opening Arrangements

The Auckland Project’s attractions are open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am - 4pm Mid February - December. This includes Auckland Castle and Gardens, Faith Museum, Spanish Gallery, Mining Art Gallery and Auckland Tower. The Deer Park is open from dawn until dusk all year round.
