Church of St Andrew, Bolam, Morpeth NE61 3UA
Mediaeval church with Saxon tower and other features dating from 12-14th centuries. A window commemorates the miraculous escape in 1942 when the church survived a direct hit by a German bomb which failed to explode. The churchyard contains historic headstones, the base of the former Bolam market cross, a Commonwealth war grave and a modern war memorial erected in 2019.
