Physic Well House, Well Approach, Barnet EN5 3AJ
The Physic Well comprises a 17th-century underground well chamber, over which the council erected a Tudor-style building in 1937. Barnet Physic Well is a mineral water spring, which was thought to have therapeutic qualities, and was popular from the late 17th century through to the 18th century. Extensive restoration work was funded and completed by Barnet Council and Historic England in 2018, with support from the Heritage of London Trust.
