The church of St Mary the Virgin at North Elmham is a Norman foundation located next door to the site of the first Anglo-Saxon cathedral in East Anglia, founded in 673. The church fabric is flint with ashlar and some brick dressings. West tower, aisled nave with south porch and chancel with flanking chapels
