United Reformed Church and attached parish rooms, Wharncliffe Road, Ilkeston - Erewash

Non-conformist church of 1905 by H Tatham Sudbury of Ilkeston in Art Nouveau Gothic style. Maintenance of roofs and the rainwater disposal system is inherently problematic given the design of the roof and associated access issues. Problems with slating and undersized and complicated rainwater goods were addressed in 2020. The tower (pinnacles and walkway) and front steps have suffered structural movement. An application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2018 was unsuccessful. Covid-19 hampered fundraising efforts. Further progress with repairs is unknown.
