Church of St Paul, Brook Street, Macclesfield - Cheshire East (UA)

Mid-C19 church in coursed stone with west tower and spire, and slate roofs. Its Perpendicular style is carried through to the interior where the five bays of the nave arcade have octagonal shafts carrying chamfered arches. Condition issues include failures with the roof covering, flashing and parapet gutters leading to areas of water ingress and damage to internal finishes. Stonework is also delaminating to the window and door surrounds, tracery, and parapets, with some inappropriate cement repairs evident. Church continues its roof and refurbishment appeal for funds.
