Church of St Peter, High Street, Maxey - Peterborough, City of (UA)
Set on slightly rising ground to one end of the village, the church is constructed of coursed stone and ashlar. C12 tower with early C15 top; C12 nave with C15 clerestory. C13 aisles and C12 tower arch. Significant moisture ingress around the tower arch doubtless due to defective roof coverings and flashings above. Rafter feet in very poor condition. Ongoing dampness in the north aisle including salt-affected plaster at west end of nave. South aisle roof leaking in places. More significant rainwater penetration seen recently. Part of the interior is roped off.
