Church of St Mary, School Road, West Walton - King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Large parish church dating from early C13 with a separate bell tower of the same date, all in Early English style but with Norman influence in its dog-tooth decoration. Interior has a C15 hammerbeam roof with carved figures, and medieval polychrome decoration on the walls of the clerestorey and the arcade piers. Extensive signs of differential ground settlement and active structural movement, with leaning piers, distortion in the arcades, and masonry about to detach from the walls. An application in 2017 for a Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship grant was unsuccessful.
