Church of St Lawrence, Clyst St. Lawrence - East Devon

Small parish church probably Norman origins rebuilt in the C15. Coursed blocks of purple volcanic ashlar, Beerstone dressings, slate roof. Plan: small church. Nave with north porch, a narrower and lower chancel and tall three-stage west tower which dominates the church. The chancel arch has been altered in the past and has spread causing instability. Historic England has grant-aided emergency propping works but permanent repair is still required.
