Church of St Mary the Virgin, Church Road, Meppershall - Central Bedfordshire (UA)
Parish church dating to C12 and half rebuilt 1875-6 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. Stonework of coursed ironstone with ashlar dressings and clay tile roofs. The clunch corner stones are decaying as well as the tracery to the south aisle chapel and vestry, render panels failing. The building showed high-level masonry problems and tower needed consolidating. The churchyard walls have been repaired. A major repair project in underway and ongoing, the works look to repair and stabilise the tower, transepts and porch roofs, rainwater goods and other associated works.
