Parish Church of St Denys, Colmworth - Bedford (UA)

Parish church early C15. Chancel of cobblestone but coursed freestone everywhere else. Chancel, north vestry, nave, south porch and west tower with broach spire which dominates the surrounding countryside. Nave roof covering failed comprehensively and to be replaced with a temporary roof covering. Roof covering requires urgent replacement to protect late medieval carvings which are part of medieval support structure. Parapets slender and loose especially on north and east elevations but maybe elsewhere. Vestry roof leaks. Parish reviewing funding sources.
