Church of Holy Trinity, Milton Damerel - Torridge
Parish church. Late C13 origins with C14 fabric, re-modelled in C16 restored c1900 to1910. Stone rubble walls. Gable-ended slate roof. Tower destroyed by lightning in 1879 and in ruins for 20 years but re-opened in 1904. Tower partly re-erected in 1892 and rebuilt 1910-1911. The church is generally well maintained, but needs a significant project to secure loose stones on top of the tower, tackle damp problems, and repair roofs. The congregation has made three applications for National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant for Places of Worship but has not been successful.
