Church of St Leonard, Shoreditch High Street E1 - Hackney

Church built between 1736 and 1740 to the design of George Dance the Elder. Built in brick with a Portland stone front facade and dressings, with slate roofs. The roofs to the north and south aisles and the flat roofs either side of the tower have been repaired with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic England. The nave roof was re-slated in 2017 with funding from the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. The church has received a first round pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund for repairs to the spire, tower, pediment, columns and to the portico roofs.
