Church of St Leonard, Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch E1 - Hackney

Built1740 to the design of George Dance the Elder. Constructed in brick with a Portland stone facade and dressings, and slate roofs. The roofs to the north and south aisles and the flat roofs either side of the tower have been repaired with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England. The nave roof was re-slated in 2017 with funding from the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. Repairs were completed in 2019 to the tower, pediment, columns and portico roofs, and temporary repairs were made to the spire, grant-aided by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
