Church of St Leonard, Shoreditch High Street E1 - Hackney

Church built1740 to the design of George Dance the Elder. Constructed in brick with a Portland stone front facade and dressings, with slate roofs. The roofs to the north and south aisles and the flat roofs either side of the tower have been repaired with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England. The nave roof was re-slated in 2017 with funding from the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund. Repairs are now underway to the spire, tower, pediment, columns and the portico roofs grant-aided by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and due to complete in 2019.
