Church of St Mary De Haura, Church Lane, Shoreham by Sea - Adur
Norman church built of Caen stone, containing a tall crossing tower with transepts to north and south, and a large aisled chancel to the east. It is a mixture of Romanesque and Transitional architecture. At risk due to the need for stone, roof and gutter repairs. Some urgent works have been completed, including stone and mortar repairs to the lower stages of the tower with the benefit of a grant from the Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Scheme. Most recently (2021) there have been roof repairs to the south transept and stone repairs, but further repairs are required.
