Church of St Peter and St Paul, Market Place, Blandford Forum - North Dorset

This church is a prime example of Georgian church architecture outside London. It was rebuilt after a fire between 1732 and 1739 to designs by John and William Bastard. The external stonework is in poor condition and there is water ingress to the interior causing damage to the plaster work. The tower and cupola were repaired in 2016 with a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship. A recent request for a further grant to carry out works to the roof, plasterwork and masonary has been rejected.
