28 and 30, Elm Hill, Norwich - Norwich
A mainly C17 building with handsome early-C19 brick-effect tile cladding. The cellars beneath include C17 range leading to an extensive late-medieval vaulted undercroft. The building is partly in use as shops, offices and accommodation but structural movement in the C17 rear wall and decay of floor structure above the cellars has left part disused. Discussions are ongoing with the City Council and a local building preservation trust concerning repairs and adaptation to bring it back into use.
