Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Lane, Watford - Daventry

Church, C14 origin with C15 and C18 work. Restored C19. Masonry is a combination of ironstone and sandstone and there is significant weathering of masonry and mortars. Urgent tower and some drainage repairs, jointly funded by Historic England / Heritage Lottery Fund, were completed by late 2013 but further drainage, low level masonry repairs and chancel roof repairs are required. There is some damp internally and some areas of flooring may require specialist cleaning to remove algae. The church has been the victim of heritage crime. Further HLF grant was awarded in 2017 for urgent repairs.
