Parnham House, Beaminster - Dorset (UA)

Picturesque C16 country house, altered in 1810 by Nash and remodelled in early C20. Following a catastrophic fire in 2017 the roof and internal structure were largely destroyed leaving the external shell in a very fragile state, most of it unprotected. Plans to use Parnham as a hospitality venue have been under discussion since 2020. Applications for related new development have been approved and a phased repair approach commenced on the house with repairs undertaken to the west wing and started on the north stables in November 2021. A comprehensive repair and reuse scheme is still awaited.
