Parnham House, Beaminster - West Dorset

C16 country house, much refashioned and extended in 1810 by Nash. Suffered catastrophic fire in April 2017. Majority of roof and internal structure has been destroyed, but much external fabric survived. A complex set of circumstances has left the building unrepaired and still unprotected 12 months on, and Historic England's Conservation Engineer has assessed it as being in an increasingly vulnerable condition. Discussions are currently underway between Historic England and the local authority regarding the serving of an urgent works notice to stabilise the most fragile areas of fabric.
