Parnham House, Beaminster - Dorset (UA)

C16 country house, much refashioned and extended in 1810 by Nash. Suffered catastrophic fire in April 2017. Majority of roof and internal structure have been destroyed, but the external shell largely survives. Complex circumstances have left the building still unprotected after two years, and Historic England's Conservation Engineer has assessed its condition as increasingly vulnerable. In September 2018 the property was marketed by Receivers following their appointment by mortgagees, and in May 2019 it was under offer but the identity of the purchaser was undisclosed.
