Church of St Lawrence, The Market, Stroud - Stroud

Large urban chuch in the centre of Stroud. Cruciform plan with equal aisles and deep transepts; north and south chapels almost as long as the chancel. South porch, west tower, small south east vestry. Tower C14, the remainder a mid C19 rebuild. Limestone ashlar with plain clay tile roofs.The roofs now have rusted tile fixings, the rainwater goods are rusting and failed, the stonework is eroded and the stained glass windows need urgent repair.
