Church of St John the Baptist, Church Street, East Markham - Bassetlaw
Parish church of C14 and C15. The church was restored, and the north and south aisles built 1883-7 by Oldrid Scott. The tower was restored in 1981. The east window of the south aisle contains some fragments of C15 glass. The east window is by Sir John Ninian Comper. The church was subject to heritage crime in 2019. The parish is keen to effect repairs as a result and have sought the advice of the Diocese, the conservation officer at the local authority and Historic England, with further grant support from Historic England's Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund.
