Church of St Cuthbert and St Mary, Worksop Priory, Priorswell Road, Worksop - Bassetlaw

Augustinian priory, now Parish church. C11, C12, C13, C14, restored 1845-49 by R. Nicholson. C20 additions including Crossing Tower, sanctuary and east end by Laurence King 1966-74. Regular and irregularly coursed ashlar and squared rubble; slate and flat roofs. The church building has suffered from Heritage Crime. Roof to the crossing tower has dislodged panels to spire skirt and damage has occurred to timber substrate. Glazed panels are letting water in. Structural concerns over condition of tower. Various open joints. Issues with drainage. The congregation are seeking funding for repairs.
