Church of St Helen, Church Street, St Helens - St Helens

Town centre church designed by WD Caroe, built between 1916 and 1926. Constructed from brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. Extensive repair of the aisle roofs, tower roof and parapet walls supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund's Grants for Places of Worship scheme. The remaining roofs are allowing water ingress and there are numerous saturated fabric issues, including some vegetation growth on exterior.
