Church of St Mary, High Street, Harmondsworth - Hillingdon
St Mary's has fabric from the C12 to the C16 including a fine C12 stone doorway. It has a tall square tower c1500 on top of which is a cupola and weathervane supported on four cast iron columns. The church is largely constructed in flint with stone dressings; the upper stages of the tower are in brick. The roofs are tiled. Much of the dressed stone, including quoins and the copings to the battlemented parapet, has been refaced in a cementitious render. The refacings are failing in places, exposing the substructure. There is cracking around the western end, particularly severe in the tower.
