Building number 14, Platts Eyot, Hampton - Richmond upon Thames

Late C19 office building in stock brick with an ogee-shaped cupola, formerly with a wooden balcony. It possibly once housed electric works and a boathouse to the ground floor. It has been in a poor state of repair and empty, but is now refurbished for re-use. Unauthorised works have been undertaken and the Local Authority is taking enforcement action to rectify this. Long-term solutions for this building will be discussed as part of the expected overall strategy for Platts Eyot island on which it is located.
