Building number 14, Platts Eyot, Hampton - Richmond upon Thames
Late C19 office building in stock brick with an ogee-shaped cupola, formerly with a wooden balcony. It possibly once housed electric works and a boathouse to the ground floor. Long-term solutions for this building are being discussed as part of the expected overall strategy for Platts Eyot island. In May 2021, a fire broke out on the island which caused significant damage to several structures to the east of the island. It is understood that building number 14 also caught fire but fire fighters brought this under control. However the extent of any damage is not yet clear.
