Church of St Mildred, Court Lane, Preston - Dover

The church dates from the C13 and was extended in the C14. It was remodelled by William White. The walls are cold and saturated at low level. Some of the eaves require gutters, also the ground gutters are not draining away which is causing damp in the walls and floors. There is also a high-water table. There is also condensation within the church, and it is difficult to heat. A National Heritage Lottery Fund grant has been awarded to add surface water drainage, rainwater goods and a toilet and small kitchen area. Work is planned to start in the latter part of 2024.
