Part of the china clay works known as Wheal Martyn, Treverbyn - Cornwall (UA)

Site includes well preserved remains of china clay processing works displayed as part of a museum. The complex includes a range of features, including drying sheds, water wheels, settling tanks, machinery. It is maintained to a basic level with repairs undertaken as needed but there has been little capital investment in the site for a long time. However a Conservation Management Plan and structural survey recently prepared for the site have identified a number of significant weaknesses in the structures and this has led to an application to the HLF to repair and restore one of the big driers.
