Barn at Rook Hall, Eye - Mid Suffolk

Late medieval timber framed barn with significant structural issues, requiring intervention to protect the special interest of the site. A Historic England Heritage at Risk Repair grant has been awarded towards the cost of temporary works needed to stabilise the structure. These works were implemented in June 2018. The timber frame has been secured, and missing tiles and bargeboards replaced. Ancillary structures have been temporarily stabilised. Discussions on-going to consider and agree next steps to secure a scheme of full repair of the barn.
