White Horse Hotel, 4, High Street, Wincanton - South Somerset

Inn dated 1733 built by Nathaniel Ireson in free baroque style. Local stone cut and squared with painted ashlar dressings; plain clay tile roof behind parapet, simple gables; brick end chimney stacks. Three-storey and three bays to road. Early cross-wing, also second cross-wing with columns that may relate to use as an inn. Early C20 dance hall at the rear. Building in poor condition with façade parting from roof, and floors decayed. Work had commenced on site but has now stopped.
