Church of St Giles, Church Walk, Leigh-on-Mendip - Mendip
Medieval parish church dating from c1350, rebuilt c1500. Well maintained. Iron cramps are pushing apart the joints in the parapet but as yet not splitting the stones. A programme of repairs addressing the external walling and parapets as well as repairs to the C18 roof coverings is needed. The chancel roof was repaired with Listed Places of Worship Roof Repairs Grant and in 2017, the congregation received National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant for Places of Worship to address the Nave roof. Work is in development. The congregation is also developing proposals for repairs and reordering.
