Church of St Margaret, Lothbury, City of London EC2 - City of London
Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the church was built between1686 and1695. The form is a simple rectangle orientated north-south with a vestry to the east and a tower to the west. The south elevation is faced in Portland stone; the others are rendered brick with stone quoins. Internal fittings are contemporary. The spire was fully repaired in 2018-2019 with a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. However, further settlement of the nave floor is causing concern and is being monitored, along with the tower which leans towards the street.
