Church of St Margaret, Lothbury, City of London EC2 - City of London

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the church was built between1686 and1695. The form is a simple rectangle orientated north-south with a vestry to the east and a tower to the west. Only the south elevation is faced in Portland stone; the others are rendered brick with stone quoins. Internal fittings are contemporary. The spire has been fully repaired in 2018-2019 with a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. However, the nave floor has settled and the leaning tower is being monitored.
