Church of St Mary, High Street, Totnes - South Hams
Former priory church rebuilt 1430-60. Random Devonian rubble with red sandstone dressings, some pale limestone dressings and parapets, and sandstone tower. Tower stonework poor needing repointing and vegetation removal. North aisle parapet and stonework decaying. Ground gutters poor. Rainwater goods need painting and vegetation removed. Internal damage to windows from rusty ferramenta (iron work) and damaged paint to north aisle east end on chancel south wall. Discussions with the church regarding proposals for reordering continue but as of 2019 substantial repairs are still needed.
