Church of St Winfred, Salisbury Road, Totton and Eling - New Forest
Large church completed 1937 and designed by NF Cachemaille-Day. Unusual galleried square nave with monumental concrete font and Father Willis organ. Built of brick with mainly pantiled roofs. At risk due to defects to the brickwork, rainwater disposal system, deteriorating windows and internal plaster. The pantiled roofs were repaired with a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund under their Grants for Places of Worship scheme. It is hoped that the remaining repairs will be carried out by a new incoming church plant congregation supported by the Diocese.
