Church of St Cornelius, Church Lane, Linwood - West Lindsey

Church with fabric from C12 to C15. Restorations took place in 1854 and 1868. The church has been subject to heritage crime. There are concerns over the asbestos cement sheet covering on the north and south aisles which is trapping moisture and is evident by the water staining in the interior. The nave roof covering is failing and there is a particular concern over water damage to the south west corner. Water staining also visible on the underside of the Vestry roof. Isolated repointing is also required. The church is continuing to work with the Diocese to develop repair schemes.
