C19 landscape park and woodland surrounding a Victorian country house with early designs by Gilpin and a Pulhamite garden. Subject to fragmentation and cumulative alteration. The gardens and pleasure grounds are owned by a private school and charitable trust; the wider park is a golf course, and 120 acres was developed as Reading FC's training facility. The parkland features are varying in condition. With funded proposals for management, repairs and view restoration planned, advice on expected works is ongoing.
