Bearwood College, Barkham / Winnersh / Arborfield and Newland - Wokingham (UA)

This C19 landscape park and woodland surrounds a Victorian country house on formal terraces overlooking a picturesque lake with early designs by Gilpin and a Pulhamite garden. Subject to recent alterations with the gardens and pleasure grounds a private school and charitable trust, the wider park a golf course and Reading FC's training site, the parkland features are varying in condition. Funded proposals for tree management and Pulhamite garden repairs were coordinated through a conservation management plan and liaison group in 2018. With works now being progressed advice is ongoing.
