Annesley Hall, Annesley - Ashfield
C13 park with remains of C13 motte and bailey castle. C17 terraces around the Hall with late C19 garden, pleasure grounds and walled garden. Site at risk due to lack of cohesive management, condition of key listed buildings and internal and external development pressures. The Hall (Grade II) suffered a serious fire in May 2015. An options appraisal and parkland management plan have been completed to help inform a sustainable future for the site and secure its conservation. Potentially harmful development proposals have been submitted for land to the west. Historic England has provided advice.
