Londesborough Park, Londesborough - East Riding of Yorkshire (UA)

Gardens laid out in the late C17 wholly or partly by Robert Hooke for the first Lord Burlington, with alterations and additions by the third Lord Burlington in the early to mid-C18. Park with avenues of early C18 date, park has earlier origins. Kitchen garden of 1730-5 with cascades and entrances aligned with parkland avenues. Extensive parkland requiring more detailed study of historic development of the planting design, key avenues and vistas. Structures in walled garden in state of deterioration. The west gates have been repaired and some management of the avenue has been carried out.
