Garendon Park - Charnwood

A remnant Arcadian landscape c1730, complete with triumphal arch and temple (both buildings at risk), designed by Ambrose Phillipps, a member of the Society of Dilettanti. Now seriously degraded. An outline application for a Sustainable Urban Extension was approved in 2015, subject to a Section 106 Agreement requiring the repair and restoration of the park and its buildings. Reserved matters applications for restoration of the park and other works have been submitted since 2020.
