Kidbrooke Park, Forest Row - Wealden

C18 park with surviving early C19 features, including a designed water system attributed to Repton, also later gardens. Broken up after WWII, the core becoming a Steiner Waldorf school which has its own unique significance. Edge development reduced the park, and ornamental features need repair and maintenance. New imaginative opportunities for embedding the site’s landscape heritage with the school’s ethos and aims through the curriculum and activities should be explored along with developing sustainable school uses for parkland buildings, and a Parkland Plan in Countryside Stewardship.
