Clandon Park, West Clandon - Guildford
Gardens and pleasure grounds within a landscaped park by Lancelot Brown. Gutted by fire in 2015 the house and garden are owned by the National Trust while the park is privately owned. Unclear conservation priorities around the park are damaging its overall integrity and it is vulnerable to development proposals. Research work is underway to aid a Conservation Management Plan process to better understand the park’s significance. A coordinated approach to park use and appropriate management will help protect and manage the significance, features and habitats of the park.
