Aldermaston Court, Aldermaston - West Berkshire (UA)

Remnant portion of medieval deer park Aldermaston Park; a C19 landscape with remains of C17/C18 pleasure grounds approached from Aldermaston’s main street. Significant for its many veteran and ancient trees in woodpasture. Aldermaston Court was converted to commercial use with a C20 office complex juxtaposed between the Court and a C18 lake. Multiple changes in ownership in recent years. Discussions for a sustainable long-term future for the buildings and a conservation management plan process are needed for the park and garden, to conserve and manage all the key parkland features that remain.
